Painting is a great privilege. I have known that I wanted to paint since I was a child. I was very interested in people and their beauty. I also enjoyed summers in Maine and became attached to the Maine landscape. I grew up riding horses so i’m very familiar with them. I’ve already done some conte drawing of horses and will also be doing some paintings of horses in the future.
I’ve been reading Saint John Paul II’s “Letter to Artists” and I feel akin to it. I therefore will always bring God into my work.
I have spent a lifetime exploring the direction of my pathway with painting. What do I love the most ? : the figure, the portrait, and— ; as it is so freeing, abstract work and thinking. I am so very fortunate, as I have my own studio in a wonderful place. Some of my artworks have been sold to art appreciators and private collectors. I invite you to come along with me on my journey of oil painting.
